Water-Quality Model

Water-quality models include both lumped and transport models. The lumped models assume all chemical constituents are lumped together, and often are used to identify equilibrium conditions. The transport models assume that water is transported through a medium, like an aquifer, and chemical changes occur along that flow path. Transport models can be used to test the reasonableness of a geologic framework or groundwater flow model.
