San Bernardino Optimal Basin Management
Models
Model is a broad term encompassing many different aspects of investigating science. In general conceptual models are used to define the general characteristics and components of a physical system and how they interrelate. A mathematical or numerical model takes those concepts, adds the governing equations, and creates a rigorous mathematical framework where the physics of the system must be honored, and hopefully the characteristics of the conceptual model are retained.
