Central Valley Hydrologic Model Database

The raw data that comprises the Central Valley Spatial Database was processed and analyzed to accomplish three main objectives:

• Describe the sediment characteristics of the aquifer system to better understand its hydraulic properties.
• Develop an approach for systematically estimating water budget components for an aquifer system in an area dominated by irrigated agriculture.
• Develop a model of the Central Valley aquifer system capable of accuracy at scales relevant for water management decisions.
