California's Central Valley
Central Valley Spatial Database
Six major classes of raw source data were collected and/or compiled as part of the Central Valley Hydrologic Model project:
- borehole lithologic data for aquifer sediment characterization
- hydrologic data consisting of precipitation records, historical water levels in wells, and streamflows
- compaction data related to subsidence
- water-use data from previous studies
- spatial land-use data, including crop type
- surface-water deliveries and diversions
A diagram of the data types and specific raw datasets can be found below. Individual datasets can be downloaded by clicking on its title.
