Site Description for Tijuana Valley #3 (18S/2W-34L1-5)LOCATION: Latitude 32º 33' 32.4", longitude -117º 04' 31.8" (NAD83) in San Diego County, California. Wells are located approximately 150 feet north of the end of Sunset Ave where it intersects International Rd, and 75 feet northwest of a nearby turbine well in Imperial Beach, California. SITE INFORMATION: Land-surface altitude is 33 feet above mean sea level (NGVD29) from a 24000 scale topographic map. INSTRUMENTATION: None. WATER-LEVEL RECORD: The period of record for intermittent and daily water-level measurements is listed below.
WATER-LEVEL MEASUREMENTS: Water levels are measured manually by means of a calibrated electric tape. Electric tape is used to avoid entangling the sensor and cable. Correction factors (comparison to a steel tape) are applied when necessary. Water-level corrections, for example to compensate for gage height, are calculated after each measurement and applied to the recorded values. MEASURING POINT: Unknown.
