Anza Ground-water Availability

Project Chief: Alan Flint and Peter Martin

Population growth and water use continue to increase in the Anza-Terwilliger area. Currently, ground water is the sole source of water supply and Riverside County is being petitioned to allow for further development of the area. Before future development takes place, it will be important to quantify the ground-water supply and establish a management and monitoring plan to allow for prudent management of future groundwater use.

The study will develop a greater understanding of the geohydrology of the Anza-Terwilliger area and help develop a management and monitoring plan to evaluate the potential hydrologic effects of future development.
