The Science of WHERE: USGS discussions at ESRI conference in San Diego, CA
USGS California Water Science Center scientists will be sharing their work in a gallery poster discussion at the ESRI International User Conference in San Diego, CA the week of July 23. USGS Geographer Whitney Seymour will discuss processing and comparing temporal climate datasets for a watershed model driven by climate data. Hydrologic Technician Donald Martin will discuss processing large datasets in a more timely and efficient manner through creating custom geoprocessing tools and automating workflows. IT Specialist Scott Whitaker, and Geographer Steven Predmore, will discuss populating the National Water Information System (NWIS) with information extracted from USGS Map Services. The conference is a portal for GIS users to collaborate and discover new geospatial knowledge and technology.
