LOCATION.-Lat 37°45'33", long 119°07'47", in NE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.20, T.2 S., R.26 E., Mono County, Hydrologic Unit 18090101, Inyo National Forest, on
left bank 600 ft downstream from Agnew Lake Dam, and 3.4 mi southwest of town of June Lake.
DRAINAGE AREA.-23.3 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.-October 1990 to current year. If records for Rush Creek Powerplant Tailrace (station 10287300) are combined with this record, a record
equivalent to that published since October 1951 as Rush Creek below Agnew Lake (station 10287290) can be obtained. Monthly and yearly mean discharges prior to
October 1969, published in WSP 2127.
GAGE.-Water-stage recorder and Parshall flume. A 4-ft Cipolletti weir is set in the Parshall flume at times. Elevation of gage is 8,440 ft above sea level, from
topographic map.
REMARKS.-Flow regulated for power development by Waugh, Gem, and Agnew Lakes (stations 10287260, 10287280, and 10287285). Most of the water is diverted at
either Gem or Agnew Lakes to Rush Creek Powerplant Tailrace via Rush Creek Powerplant.
COOPERATION.-Records collected by Southern California Edison Co., under general supervision of the U.S. Geological Survey, in connection with a Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission project.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.-Maximum discharge, 441 ft3/s, July 30, 1995, gage height, 4.90 ft; no flow for many days in most years.
